Crowns, Bridges and Veneers

A crown is a cap placed over the top of your natural tooth to restore it after it has broken to improve both function and aesthetics .Crowns can greatly enhance the appearance of heavily filled, chipped, discoloured or misshapen teeth. In some cases they can be used to correct a misalignment when braces are not an option.

A bridge is used as a fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth, using a crown or metal wing cemented to the tooth or teeth adjacent to the gap .They are both aesthetic and functional, restoring your natural bite and preventing unwanted movement of the adjacent teeth and over eruption of the tooth opposite the gap. They are a very desirable alternative to a removable partial denture.

A veneer is a very fine facing made of porcelain or composite resin which is bonded onto your natural tooth. The primary function is to improve the appearance and they usually involve very little preparation. Veneers can be used in cases where teeth are chipped, discoloured or misaligned. They are most frequently used on your upper or lower front teeth.
